The two defendants in a Chase County retail theft case are moving along in the court process.
Joni Osage and Jeremiah Terry, both of Strong City, have had their charges amended since the alleged incident May 12. Both are charged with possession of stolen property, marijuana, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
The stolen property charges replaces theft counts in both cases. Osage, age 44, and Terry, age 45, were arrested as part of a search warrant for illegal narcotics. The Chase County Sheriff’s Office says the search led to a number of items allegedly stolen from Dollar General stores in Emporia and Peabody. Deputies say both defendants worked for a delivery service resupplying items for Dollar General stores in and around Emporia.
