One of Emporia’s most popular restaurants is closing its doors, but not permanently, at least at this time.
On its official Facebook page Monday, Casa Ramos Mexican Restaurant posted that as of Monday, it will be “closing the doors” due to a combination of “shifting ownership roles, spending time with families during the summer, and revisiting what Casa Ramos has always been, which is family oriented and back to our old roots.” The post went on to say that the closure will not be “Forever and we do have plans to open again.”
The post then went on to thank the community for its support over the years. Casa Ramos began operations in 2004 at 201 Commercial Street and has been a staple in the local eatery scene for over two decades. The restaurant moved to its current location at 402 Merchant, filling the space previously occupied by the Station, back in October of 2023.
KVOE News will be reaching out to ownership for additional information on the sudden closure.
