Emporia Spartan Boxing was in action this past weekend, bringing home one title at heavyweight.
Spartan Boxing took the ring at Turner Boxing Academy in Kansas City with heavyweight Caleb Hulbutta, in his third career bout, earning a unanimous decision victory, improving his amateur record to 3-0. 26-year-old Daniel Tabares, 132 lbs, lost a decision in his third career bout, dropping his record to 2-1.
Meanwhile, 14-year-old Arlis Sieberns gave up a full foot in height to his opponent and took the bout to all three rounds, losing a decision.
