Broadview Towers in downtown Emporia has some work ahead this week, and that means a traffic adjustment likely for the rest of the week.
The city of Emporia says work begins Tuesday to place wireless telecommunications equipment on top of the building at 110 West 6th. This will trigger several traffic adjustments, including:
*No on-street parking in the work zone along Merchant from 6th to 100 feet north of the intersection
*Access to businesses in the 600 block of Merchant will be handled by a flagger
*The west-side sidewalk in the 600 block of Merchant will be closed to thru traffic. The east-side sidewalk will be open
*Access to the 600 block of Merchant parking lot will have channelizers to demonstrate the traffic flow
