The Kansas Rural Health Transformation Program has new funding recipients.
Stormont Vail Health of Topeka has been announced for almost $5.5 million as part of the Regional Partnerships Grant Program. Funds will be used to create PrairieLINK, a clinically-integrated network and shared services infrastructure in northeast and central Kansas.
The Rural Health Transformation’s announcement follows one for Newman Regional Health, designated as an Anchor Hospital earlier this year — thus positioning Newman Regional to add resources and strengthen both the local and regional infrastructure. The announcement also comes with Stormont Vail in the early stages of building its own medical facility in western Emporia.
