Democratic Kansas US Senate candidate Pastor Adam Hamilton says he feels like state voters are ready for a change in Washington.
Hamilton’s comments came in an interview with KVOE News during a stop in Emporia as part of a state-wide listening tour, where Hamilton, who is seeking to take the seat currently held by Republican Roger Marshall, stated that he believes that while Marshall may have a great deal of notoriety behind his name, he is not so sure the voters follow suit based on recent discussions.
Another topic that has consistently come up in discussions across the state is Hamilton’s number one priority if elected: affordability.
Hamilton, who has spent the last three decades plus in ministry and currently serves as the head Pastor of Resurrection, a United Methodist Church, is one of 14 individuals seeking election to the US Senate and one of 11 Democrats.
Also on the Democratic side of the ballot are Christy Davis, Damon Anderson, Jason Hart, Kevin Latz, Erik Murray, Sandy Spidel Neumann, Anee Parelkar, Patrick Schmidt, Michael Soetaert and Noah Taylor. On the Republican side of the ballot are Marshall, the incumbent and Pond Naramore.
David Graham is the lone Libertarian in the race.
