IdeaTek has received special recognition from Inc Magazine.
The publication has IdeaTek on its list of Best Workplaces for 2026, with the recognition coming from an anonymous survey of the company’s employees through Quantum Workforce. The survey indicated 88 percent of employees are “highly engaged,” meaning they regularly go above and beyond, “advocate for the company” and plan their long-term futures with the company.
IdeaTek is using the survey results and the Inc article to highlight its flexible hybrid attendance model so employees can work either from the office or at home. IdeaTek also says its hiring, training and team development process relies on culture traits like belief, “big thinking,” connectedness, innovation, “resilient spirit” and trust.
IdeaTek began expanding its presence into Emporia last year. As part of its ongoing expansion efforts across Kansas, IdeaTek recently acquired Velocity, the high-speed internet division of Butler Electric Cooperative. The Buhler-based (BYOO-ler) company now has over 240 staffers in Kansas.
