The Emporia Recreation Commission has a wide range of topics to handle during its monthly meeting Monday.
Board members will outline the preliminary 2027 budget before voting on their intent to exceed the revenue neutral rate as part of upcoming budget conversations. An insurance package may well see action Monday as well.
Facility matters will be another significant discussion point, with an update on upcoming renovations to the DeBauge Family Sports Complex and a separate update on the Steering Committee’s work ahead following a recommendation to build a new public recreation center at Jones Aquatic Center and renovate Lee Beran Rec Center earlier this month.
Rec Commission members will also discuss a transient guest tax grant awarded for 2027.
The meeting starts at 5:30 pm Monday at the Lee Beran Rec Center.
