Budget requests will continue for the Lyon County Commission during their upcoming action meeting later this week.
Commissioners will have two requests set to be presented, the first coming from the North Central Flint Hills Area Agency on Aging and the second from the Neosho Rapids Senior Center. Separately, commissioners will receive information and consider direction for Lyon County Engineer Wayne Scritchfield regarding upgrades on Road W between Roads 40 and 50.
Scritchfield will also submit a quote from Security Oil Company LLC for just over $107,000 for fuel tank replacements and associated equipment. Funds for the purchase, if approved, will come from the county’s multi-year capital outlay Road and Bridge fund.
County Appraiser Ryan Janzen will seek approval for two out-of-state travel requests, the first for himself and Zach Carr to attend the IAAO Conference in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, October 13-16 and the second for himself to attend the NCRAAO Conference. IT Director Jean Barnett will submit a purchase request for refurbished servers from I.T. Creations for just over $11,900.
Regular staff and commission reports are also planned. The meeting will begin at 9 am inside the Lyon County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
