The Emporia State soccer team has announced its 2026 schedule. The Lady Hornets will host 10 opponents at the ESU Pitch, the most since the 2010 season. The opener for the Black & Gold will be on the road at Drury August 27. Opening Day at the ESU Pitch is set for August 29 against Maryville. After hosting Rockhurst and then traveling to Southwestern Oklahoma, E-State will then host four straight including the MIAA opener on September 18 against Nebraska Kearney. ESU will then go on the road for three-straight games, return home for three in a row in October before heading back on the road for three straight in late October. The last home game of the year is set for Wednesday, October 29 against Rogers State with the MIAA tournament to follow beginning November 1. Jane Grimley-Gunn enters her third year in charge of the Lady Hornet program. ESU finished 9-6-5 last season and advanced to the semifinals of the conference tournament after an upset win over #16 Washburn.
