A sizeable allocation will be one of the main focal points for Lyon County Commissioners when they convene for their regular action meeting Thursday morning.
Commissioners will consider approving the county’s 2026 allocation to Flint Hills Technical College for more than $73,900. This is a budgeted item for the commission.
Tobey Kelly of the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office will submit an invoice from Traffic Control Services Inc. for the upfitting of one Chevy Silverado 1500 Unit for more than $14,900, with just over $9,100 to be paid for from the multi-year fund and the remaining $5,775 to be paid from the miscellaneous contractual services fund.
County Engineer Wayne Scritchfield will then present information on a potential upgrade on Road W between Roads 40 and 50 as well as upgrades to Road 40 between Roads W and X. Two executive sessions, one for legal matters and one for third-party confidential data exchange, are also scheduled.
