Area families battling cancer will benefit from a full day of softball, food and fundraising this weekend.
Lori Douglas joined the KVOE Morning Show on Thursday to promote the sixth annual Bryan Douglas Memorial Softball Tournament. She says every dollar raised supports local families through the “ECF Choose How You Respond Fund in Memory of Dr. Bryan Douglas.”
The fund assists area families who are navigating a cancer journey.
The softball tournament begins at 8 a.m. Saturday, with eight teams set to compete throughout the day at Southwest Santa Fe Park. Shelby’s Snack Shack will also be on site, serving food all day.
In addition to the tournament, a silent auction is underway and remains open until 3 p.m. Saturday. Douglas says there’s something for everyone among this year’s auction items.
Those interested in participating in the silent auction can place bids online here.
