Fireworks complaints remained on par with prior years, according to Lyon County Emergency Communications.
The department reports 48 complaints from 12 am July 27 to 5:30 am Monday. Of those complaints, 34 were logged between Friday and Sunday. No citations were issued during the special fireworks discharge window.
Fourth of July fireworks complaints have typically ranged between 20-50 since the COVID-19 pandemic. Last year had 28. The 2024 number was 45. 2022 had over 70 complaints.
