The Emporia State football team has been selected for three games in the MIAA’s 2026 MIAA Football Game of the Week Package. It’s the third year of the deal between the conference and 38 the Spot in Kansas City, owned by Scripps News. The package will include 13 MIAA games to TV audiences in the greater Kansas City area. The Hornets will be featured for three games starting in Week 5 on October 5 when the Hornets host Missouri Western at Welch Stadium at 1:00 p.m. E-State will also be featured on the road twice, including a Week 9 matchup at Northwest Missouri on Halloween and to wrap up the regular season at Fort Hays State in Week 11. Central Oklahoma and Washburn led the way for the conference with four selections each in the package. The Hornets begin their season with a Week 0 road trip on Thursday, August 27 to face Minot State. Coverage is set for 5:00 p.m. on Mix 104.9.
