The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office says one person was hurt and another person was arrested after a crash south of Olpe on Sunday.
The wreck developed in the 400 block of Kansas Highway 99, 3 miles south of Olpe, around 10 am. Deputy Collin Brozek says a UTV and an SUV were both southbound on K-99 shortly before the wreck. The SUV was following too closely and rear-ended the UTV, rolling the UTV.
The UTV driver was airlifted to an unlisted hospital afterward. The SUV driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI. Names have not been released.

One person was airlifted from the scene of a crash in south Lyon County on Sunday.
The wreck involved an ATV and an SUV and was reported around 10 am. Early indications have the SUV hitting the ATV near the intersection of Kansas Highway 99 and Road 40, about 3 miles south of Olpe and nearly 15 miles south of Emporia, with the ATV rider being injured as a result and subsequently airlifted to a currently unspecified hospital.
