Tentative scheduling continues for the Emporia DMV inside Flinthills Mall.
This is the first week of temporary, limited hours at the facility after the previous office manager suddenly quit last week, forcing the office to be closed for most of the week.
The office is open through 3:30 pm Wednesday and reopens from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm Thursday. Half-hour lunch breaks begin around noon. The Kansas Department of Revenue has shifted staff from other locations to make sure the Emporia office can at least have limited hours for the public.
Flinthills Mall Manager Clarence Frye says the tentative plan is to keep the same times next week, with operations July 21-23.
The Department of Revenue has not responded to email and social media requests for updates.
