Formal charges are under consideration after an incident that started with an allegedly stolen truck from Atchison County and ended with a pursuit and arrest near Emporia.
Atchison County Sheriff Jack Laurie says the truck was reported stolen shortly before 8 am Tuesday and was later seen on the Kansas Turnpike. A law enforcement pursuit followed involving numerous agencies. The Kansas Highway Patrol says Dustin Kennedy, age 43 of Georgia, was arrested shortly before 10 am near Emporia after a pursuit through at least parts of Osage and Lyon counties.
Kennedy was booked on suspicion of flee and elude, possession of a stolen vehicle, speeding and other traffic issues.
