The Emporia State athletics department announced a new strategic plan to guide Hornet athletics through the 2028-29 athletic season. The plan, titled “The Black & Gold Standard”, outlines six major objectives that will be the focus of the department. The priorities in order are competitive excellence, university alignment, student-athlete success, facilities, work force development, and philanthropic engagement.
