Seasonally hot and very sticky conditions continue across the KVOE listening area Thursday into Friday.
Chances of showers and storms continue through the early afternoon hours, meaning our daytime high of 90 degrees will feel like 101, thanks to dewpoints in the mid-70s through the day.
Rain has been locally heavy near Emporia on Thursday morning. The National Weather Service has issued an urban and small stream flood advisory for east central Coffey County until 9:45 am after up to 3.5 inches of rainfall and the potential for another 1 inch through mid-morning.
Separately, west central Osage County is in an urban and small stream flood advisory until 10:45 am after up to 2 inches of rainfall early Thursday and another inch possible.

More thunderstorms are possible by late evening through the overnight hours. There is currently a marginal severe weather risk for wind areawide.
Rain chances end shortly after sunrise Friday. High temperatures will be around 90 degrees Friday, followed by highs in the low- and mid-80s for the weekend. Temperatures return to the 90s by Tuesday.
