USD 252 Southern Lyon County is benefiting from grant money through the Kansas Department for Children and Families.
DCF has announced nearly $82,000 for the district’s Family Resource Center.
USD 252 Superintendent Ryan Muhlig says the funds will be used for daycare operations.
DCF granted over $1.1 million total to 9 different entities, making the announcement Thursday. The Family Resource Centers help families “before challenges escalate into crises” through services like parent support, child development activities and access to mental and physical health resources at low to no cost for families.
