Emporia High approved Cassidy Barclay as head softball coach at Wednesday’s 253 board meeting.
Barclay returns to Emporia, where she suited up for Emporia State at catcher for four seasons. The former Lady Hornet has experience as an assistant coach with University of Mary and spent last fall as the Seneca High softball coach in Missouri.
Barclay replaces Tom McClure, who stepped down after leading the Lady Spartans for three seasons.
