Artists of all disciplines across the local area are being encouraged to take part in a program aimed at helping artists find the highest level of success in their art, coming in October.
GoodWay Gardens announced Thursday morning that it will be hosting the Artist INC Express class in Emporia on October 10th and 11th. GoodWay Director Elexa Dawson in a recent interview with KVOE News, explained the program is a condensed version of what is traditionally an eight-week course organized by the Mid-America Arts Alliance.
Dawson says the purpose of the course is to help artists address “specific needs and challenges” they face throughout their careers, adding that it is extremely useful to entrepreneurial artists as it covers both the business side of the arts industry without compromising the passion or purpose behind that art.
Dawson says the workshop will be open to all artists regardless of their chosen focus.
Registration for the course is currently open through 5 pm October 8th and it is completely free to attend.
