Summertime heat is definitely locked into the upcoming weather forecast for at least a week.
Seasonal air temperatures around 90 degrees Friday will give way to highs near 100 by Sunday. Dewpoints will be in the 60s for the next week, but peak heat index readings will still climb to at or slightly above 100 degrees from Sunday to Thursday.
