The Emporia State volleyball team had their best offensive match of the season to take three sets from Purdue Northwest on Saturday morning at Bulldog Arena in Big Rapids, Mich. to wrap up the Ferris State Tournament 3-1. ESU hit a sizzling .317 on the match on the way to a 25-19, 25-15, 25-19 victory over the Lions. Piper Bahr led the way for E-State with 13 kills while Delainee Dexter led the 6-2 offense with 19 assists and 10 digs. Lavra Krizanic hit .389 on the way to nine kills and led the Lady Hornets with 17 digs while former Emporia High Lady Spartan Jade Xu had her best match in her freshman campaign hitting .500 on 16 swings with no errors to finish with eight kills. ESU (3-1) heads back north next week for the Sioux Falls Tournament beginning on Thursday.
