LCL Showdown in Madison
A big Lyon County League matchup is on tap Friday night in Madison, as the reigning league champion Madison Bulldogs welcome the preseason favorite Lebo Wolves.
The two teams will open the season against each other, giving both squads an early test against one of the league’s top programs.
Madison went undefeated in conference play last fall, including a 51-20 win over Lebo.
The Wolves return practically their entire team from last season and enter the year looking like one of the top teams in Division 2. Lebo head coach Brian Hadley wants his team to play with a purpose in the season opener.
For Madison head coach Nate Teichgraeber, the opportunity to face a strong opponent right away is one his team is looking forward to.
Kickoff in Madison has been pushed back to 8 p.m. Friday due to the heat.
