Senior linebacker Landon Boss has been named the MIAA Defensive Player of the Week after posting a career high 17 tackles in Emporia State’s Week 0 win at Minot State last week. It is the most tackles by anyone in ‘The Association’ through one game and the second-most by anyone in the country. Boss was a two-time player of the week last year in the conference and is the reigning MIAA Defensive Player of the Year. It is already Boss’ sixth game with double-digit tackles in an ESU uniform.
