A Topeka man suffered possibly serious injuries when his motorcycle crashed in southern Chase County early Thursday.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the wreck happened around 5:30 am near Kansas Turnpike mile marker 105.4, almost directly between the Matfield Green service exit and Flint Hills cattle pens exit. Troopers say 36-year-old Zachary Ford was northbound when a tire blew. The motorcycle went off the highway into the center barrier wall, skidded about 100 feet across the highway and stopped off the right shoulder.
Ford was taken to Newman Regional Health for treatment.
