Preliminary hearings are tentatively coming next month for 2 men accused separately in Lyon County District Court of drug distribution.
Lance Julian Harris was originally set for a hearing last week, but that was delayed to October 19 after prosecutors said a witness would not be available for the originally-scheduled hearing.
Harris is officially charged with distributing over 100 grams of marijuana, over 250 dosage units of fentanyl, over 1,000 dosage units of Ecstasy of MDMA, up to 100 grams of cocaine and up to 1,000 dosage units of hydrocodone. He’s also accused of possessing tetrahydrocannabinol, the active ingredient in marijuana, and paraphernalia.
Separately, Charles Tatman was originally set for a preliminary hearing last week, but that was delayed to October 5 after defense attorney Ty Wheeler withdrew from the case citing a conflict and was subsequently replaced by Paul Dean.
Tatman is accused of distributing at least 100 grams of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school on 2 separate occasions in late April, as well as 1 count of distributing up to 450 grams of marijuana, also within 1,000 feet of a school in late April. Also, Tatman is accused of using a cell phone to commit a drug crime, unlawfully acquiring drug proceeds and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Tatman and Michael Baldridge remain accused of aggravated kidnapping, aggravated battery and aggravated assault after an alleged incident in Lyon County on January 2. Tatman, who also has a count of criminal threat against him, is set for jury trial beginning October 26, with a trial status hearing October 21. Hearings for Baldridge are on hold indefinitely after he allegedly failed to appear for a pretrial hearing in July.
