Emporia’s Fetal Alcohol Diagnostic Clinic is celebrating 25 years of serving families Wednesday.
Longtime team member Bev Long says the clinic offers parents initial peace of mind and continued support.
Long says fetal alcohol syndrome is the most preventable birth defect, so the presence of the diagnostic clinic is important.
There is an application process involved. Long says parents can get their kids in for a screening within 30 days if there is no waiting period, which is the case at this time.
Activities will be from 9-10:30 am at the Trusler Business Center, 719 Commercial. Parents with questions can call Kayla Scott or Maddison Groh at CrossWinds, 620-343-2211.
