Emporia State senior linebacker Landon Boss has collected his fourth-straight MIAA Defensive Player of the Week award dating back to last season. Boss has five-career awards including the last two weeks of last season and the first two of this year. Boss registered seven tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss with an interception as the Hornets stymied #10 Pittsburg State in a 21-10 Hornet victory on the road last weekend. The Osage City, Kan. native is the MIAA leader in tackles after leading the league in stops last year as the conference’s Defensive Player of the Year. The #24 Hornets host the #20 Michigan Tech Huskies on Saturday in the home opener at Welch Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. with coverage at 12:00 p.m. on Mix 104.9
