Court proceedings are resuming in a Lyon County attempted arson case from last year.
Judge Laura Miser found David J Anderson competent to stand trial as part of a hearing this week, following an evaluation by CrossWinds Counseling and Wellness dated last month. A preliminary hearing is now on the docket for October 28.
The report and the ruling follow Judge Miser’s decision to order an evaluation this past January.
Following an alleged incident at 822 Merchant, Anderson was charged with attempted aggravated arson, as well as battery, kidnapping, criminal threat and drug possession.
