Emporia State University’s Department of Music will host its annual Music Gala Benefit concert Saturday evening, bringing together performers and supporters for an event that helps fund student scholarships.
Adrian Hartsough, an Emporia State music professor, joined KVOE’s Morning Show Monday to discuss the fundraiser and preview some of the music audiences can expect during the concert.
The Music Gala Benefit is an important fundraiser for ESU music students. Proceeds from the event provide scholarship support, making the concert the largest source of scholarship revenue for the Department of Music.
Hartsough said those scholarship funds can make an important difference for the students who receive them.
The concert is scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday in Webb Hall at Emporia State University’s Memorial Union.
General admission tickets are $15, with VIP tickets also available.
