Emporia High soccer suffered its first shutout of the season Thursday, falling 5-0 to Topeka High.
The Trojans took a 2-0 lead into halftime and added three more goals after the break to pull away.
The loss marked the first time this season the Spartans have been held without a goal.
Emporia falls to 7-2 overall and 1-1 in league play.
The Spartans will look to bounce back next Thursday when they host Manhattan.
