A Coffey County man is dead after a UTV wreck in Woodson County on Saturday.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says the crash happened about 3 miles west of Neosho Falls, or over 60 miles southeast of Emporia, shortly before 6:30 pm. Troopers say 56-year-old John Mattox of LeRoy was eastbound on 200th Road and in the north ditch of Tadpole Road. The Mattox 4-wheeler went onto the road and overturned in the middle of the road.
Mattox was pronounced dead at the scene. There is no indication of any other vehicles involved in the wreck.
