Emporia High’s Taylen Koch led the Lady Spartans with a fourth-place finish Monday at the Centennial League golf meet at Stagg Hill Golf Club in Manhattan.
Koch finished 15-over par, narrowly missing third place as she finished just two strokes behind third.
Manhattan claimed the team championship, finishing ahead of Washburn Rural, while Emporia High placed fourth in the team standings.
Maddie Myers was the only golfer in the field to finish under par. Myers shot three-under to capture the individual Centennial League championship.
The Lady Spartans will return to Stagg Hill Golf Club on Monday, Oct. 5, for their next competition.
