In a game featuring 33 combined shots and 15 shots on goal, only one found the back of the net and Central Oklahoma prevailed with a 1-0 victory over the Emporia State soccer team on Sunday in Edmond, Okla.  After a scoreless first half, the Bronchos punched in the match’s only score just over six minutes into the second half.  The Black & Gold outshot the Bronze & Blue 17-16 including 8-7 in shots on goal but the Broncho keeper made eight saves to keep the Lady Hornets off the scoreboard.  The result ended a three-match shutout streak for ESU and a six-match unbeaten streak.  The ESU booters haven’t scored in their last three matches.  ESU (5-3-3, 2-1-2 MIAA) will look to get right on offense when they host Newman on Friday at the ESU Pitch.
