Three Emporia High tennis players are heading to the 5A State Meet following a strong showing at the Andover Regional on Saturday.
Izabella Hinst earned her spot at state with a fourth-place finish in singles. She kicked off the tournament with two strong victories before dropping her final two matches.
The team of Chelsea Mendez and Alexa Tovar locked in fifth place to qualify for the next round. The duo turned in an impressive tournament, finishing with a 3-1 record overall.
The trio will compete at the 5A State Meet, hosted at the Andover District Tennis Complex this coming Friday and Saturday.
