Emporia State and No. 18 Washburn scored goals within a minute of each other in the first half, but couldn’t score again in a 1-1 tie at the ESU Pitch on Sunday. Ella Favot picked up her seventh goal of the year midway through the first on an assist from Taylor McFalls, but the Lady Hornets allowed the equalizer less than a minute later. Neither team was able to dominate possession as Washburn managed just eight shots in the game while ESU had six. ESU has allowed just two goals in their last six matches combined. E-State (6-3-4, 3-1-3 MIAA) wraps up a three-match homestand by hosting Missouri Southern on Friday, October 16. Kickoff is set for 2:00 p.m.
