Three months after hours were limited at Emporia’s Department of Motor Vehicles office, operations have returned to normal.
According to a post on the Flint Hills Mall official Facebook page, the office returned to its normal hours of operation on Monday. The office will be open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:45 pm, with a lunch hour between noon and 1 pm.
Walk-ins will be welcomed, with appointment times for testing opening up soon. The office will also accomodate walk-ins for testing, depending on staff availability; however, appointments will be preferred.
During the summer, the office was left in a state of flux with staffing shortages being noted as the direct cause. The Kansas Department of Revenue stated the location’s office manager had resigned suddenly ahead of the alteration to hours and staff from other locations were called in to assist with limited hours back in July.
If you have questions or need to schedule an appointment, call 620-342-5146 or visit the Division of Vehicles Online Appointment Scheduler on the Kansas Department of Revenue website at telegov.egov.com.
