The No. 25 Central Missouri soccer team scored one second half goal on the way to shutting out Emporia State 1-0 on Sunday. The defenses controlled the match with each team managing just nine shots, but UCM found the back of the net in the second half while ESU could only generate four shots on goal in the match. Ava Huston had three shots including two on goal while goalie Terra Rybuck made five saves but couldn’t hold the shutout. It’s the fifth time in seven matches the Black & Gold have been held to one goal or less. ESU (7-4-4, 4-2-3 MIAA) continues a three-game road swing at Northwest Missouri on Friday.
