Emporia State junior middle blocker Ryann Hamilton picked up her first career MIAA Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week award on Monday after helping the Lady Hornets pick up a pair of wins at their MIAA Mid-Season Tournament last week.  Hamilton had 11 total blocks to help ESU sweep Northwest Missouri in a true road match on Friday then added six more blocks as ESU stunned No. 5 Nebraska-Kearney in a neutral site showdown.  The 11 stuffs were the most by any ESU player this season.  ESU (19-3, 4-2 MIAA) returns to conference play beginning Friday when they visit Missouri Southern.  First serve is set for 6:00 p.m. in Joplin, Mo.
