The Emporia State soccer team outshot Northwest Missouri 15-7 including 11-2 in the second half, but a first half goal was all the Bearcats needed to pull off a 1-0 upset of the Black & Gold at Bearcat Field on Friday. The Northwest Missouri goalkeeper made seven saves in the match to out duel ESU keeper Terra Rybuck. With her inside the pipes, the Lady Hornets have allowed multiple goals just once in her last eight matches. E-State hasn’t scored in their last five periods and were shutout in back-to-back matches for the second time this year. ESU (7-5-4, 4-3-3 MIAA) wraps up their final road trip of the year on Sunday facing Missouri Western.
