House of Morrow’s second annual Drag is Art fundraiser is returning this Friday, just in time for Halloween.
A fundraiser that benefits House of Morrow’s work to serve marginalized communities in Emporia through public arts and services, founder and executive director Deon Morrow said the event is one that celebrates the art of drag.
For those who’ve never been to a drag show, House of Morrow’s vice chair Linzi Garcia said they can expect to see a show full of whimsical performances.
As he looks ahead to the event’s second year, Morrow said Drag is Art has been an incredible opportunity to raise money for the organization’s efforts while providing a safe space for the performers and building relationships with other businesses in the community.
House of Morrow’s Drag is Art fundraiser will start at 8 p.m. Friday at Good Way Gardens. Ticket prices range from $20 to 50$ and can be purchased at houseofmorrow.org.
