Emporia State sophomore forward Ella Favot has been named the MIAA Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Year. She highlights six Lady Hornets who received All-MIAA recognition from the league on Friday and is the first from ESU to claim the award since Mackenzie Dimarco picked up her second such award as a senior in 2023. Favot was the conference leader with 22 points while scoring eight goals and accounting for six assists. She was joined on the First Team by Megan Kephart who tallied a career-high nine goals. Peyton Pipes was Third Team All-MIAA after scoring four goals and helping the ESU defense to four shutouts this year. Terra Rybuck was Honorable Mention in goal and was joined on that list by Sammy Quiroz and Avery Zimmerman. The Coach of the Year was Wes Branstetter of Pittsburg State. ESU opens up the MIAA Tournament at Central Oklahoma on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
