There was a lot of fireworks activity Monday night, but not a ton of complaints.
Lyon County Emergency Communications reported nine complaints for Monday night’s activity, between the seven reported Sunday night and the 12 from Saturday night. There have been over 30 total complaints since Emporia’s fireworks sales and dischanrge period begain June 27.
As was the case Monday, discharge hours Tuesday go from 10 am to 11 pm. Wednesday is the last day for legal fireworks sales and discharge, with hours going from 10 am to 10 pm. Click here for information.
